STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS
N-ESB Bus Interface
Connection: A2EN402 and A2EN404 have two and four N-ESB bus communication ports, respectively, on the
front of the modules. A pair of A2EN40 installed in an odd-numbered slot and even-numbered slot
of A2FV50 or A2FV70 shall be connected to N-ESB bus 1 and bus 2, respectively.
Transmission cable: Unshielded twist-pair (UTP) with enhanced category 5 or superior
Connector: RJ-45 connector (ISO/IEC8877-compliant)
Transmission speed: 100 Mbps
Transmission distance: Max. 100 m (between a FCU and a N-IO node, or between N-IO nodes)
When using A2EN40 with A2FV50, for details of N-ESB bus specifications, refer to the GS “N-IO System
Overview” (GS 33J62A10-01EN).
When using A2EN40 with A2FV70, for details of N-ESB bus specifications, refer to the GS “Field Control Unit,
Cabinet Utility Kit (for RIO System Upgrade)” (GS 33J64E10-01EN).
Installation Limitations
A pair of A2EN40 shall be installed in A2FV50 or A2FV70 and always be used in a dual-redundant configuration.
